Lewis Njoroge: Impacting Lives one site at a time.

Lewis Njoroge joined Adrian as an intern in 2021. He was keen on joining Adrian as he had observed that we were at the forefront of digitizing Africa by providing infrastructure that ensured every citizen could get access to the internet. Today his career has grown from intern to a Fiber Support Officer at Adrian and on a day to day, he coordinates projects from implementation to delivery.

He works closely with clients as well as internal teams to ensure seamless communication and delivery of work. As a Fiber support officer, Teamwork has been a major contributing factor to his success at Adrian. He can interact with different teams from the clients to the teams on the ground to ensure deployment and maintenance is done in a timely and efficient manner.

Lewis prides himself as a hardworking and confident leader using his education background to pivot himself in this role. Lewis shares his journey with Adrian:

What attracted you to Adrian?

I believe that meaningful work should be able to serve people and change their lives. My journey at Adrian can best be described by Chris Grosser’s quote: “Opportunities don’t happen, you create them.” Growing from an intern to managing projects has entailed a lot of learning and growth ensuring that I put the customer first and be willing to adapt and innovate new ways of doing things.

What drives you?

I like to look at life in different dimensions to ensure I live with purpose. I set targets and work towards actualizing them. This fuels me to work towards the next one. Working in the fiber department, I get to ensure people are connected to the internet, this means changing people’s lives on a day-to-day basis which fuels me to do more.

What excites you most about your job?

I enjoy knowing that my work will live beyond me. Building networks is something that brings communities and transforms lives. The communities connected through the sites we build can conduct business, communicate with each other, and have access to information through the internet. I am also privileged to have a supportive team that excites me to go to work.

What is something you wish you had known earlier?

Life is all about confidence. With confidence you go into doors you never thought you would.

Describe Adrian in two words?

Innovative environment.

What is your parting shot?

Be confident in all you do and perfect and invest in the things you are good at. This helps fuel the passion to get better and succeed.
