Commencing his journey as a trainee at Murdoch, McCrae & Smith (MM&S), a subsidiary of Touche Ross International in Kenya, he displayed exceptional prowess by earning his CPA qualification in June 1984, securing an impressive six awards for outstanding performance in national exams—an accomplishment that remains unbeaten. At just 27 years old, David became one of the youngest partners in the field in 1988. Following a merger with MM&S, he transitioned to Deloitte as a Partner in 1991. Over the years, he held diverse positions, notably as Finance and Strategy Director at the Alliance Group in 1996 and later as Managing Partner at Githongo & Co. in 2004. His professional trajectory culminated at PKFKLSA, where he served as a Global Partner, heading the firm’s business advisory services and as Managing Director of PKF Consulting Ltd until his retirement in 2021.
