Construction Division

Our build division provides expertise in the end to end construction of telecommunication infrastructure.

  • Step 1: Site acquisition
  • Step 2: Site design
  • Step 3: Site construction
  • Step 4: BTS Integration

Site Acquisition

Site Acquisition is the leasing of sites for erection of BTS Towers. Services include:

  • Site Identification
  • Leasing Services
  • Contracting Agreements
  • Securing of Permitting Services

Step 1: We identify the most ideal sites within our clients’ target coordinates based on access and possibility to deliver optimal GSM network.

Step 2: We perform site lease negotiations with respective land owners on behalf of our clients before we move into securing the required building and county permit approvals to enable project bidding and construction to proceed.

Site Design

Our design team undertakes Site Surveys and develops Site Designs for the BTS sites. This involves coordinating geotechnical soil survey, approved drawings and site designs to ensure accurate and efficient structures are generated towards satisfying our clients’ requirements.

Site Construction

Civil Works

We undertake all civil works pertaining to the construction of telecommunication sites. These include:

  • Set out and Excavation
  • Steel fixing and Rebar
  • Casting
  • Tower erection and wall construction

Electrical + BTS Installation

Installation is carried our by our team of qualified engineers in accordance to the recommendations of equipment vendors and operator requirements to ensure that all scope of work has been carried out as per design.

BTS Integration

This involves connection/integration of the BTS site to the network through a transmission medium (Fiber or Microwave Radio).

Step 1: We carry out extensive tests to ensure that all elements of the equipment are functioning as per the requirements from the operators.

Step 2: A quality audit is then undertaken and submitted to the operator/service provider for acceptance.

Among the common tests carried are alarm, feature and call testing.

Managed Services Division

We provide maintenance services for both old and new BTS sites.

Our clients Include mobile network operators, tower companies and equipment manufacturers. Our managed services are in two categories:

This involves:

  • Upgrading and maintenance of Transmission Equipment
  • BTS upgrading and maintenance
  • Software upgrades for transmission and BTS equipment
  • Hardware upgrades and extensions

Passive Maintenance

PM 01: Routine monthly visits to each site for preventive maintenance where our engineers check the conditions of any components that are likely to fail. Routine checks include but are not limited to:

  • Checking fuel levels
  • Checking if the generators are due for service
  • Cleaning the generator engines
  • Checking the battery health
  • Cleaning the site
  • Testing site alarms

PM 02: Attending to any emergencies flagged by our Network Operations Monitoring Centre that can lead to site failure.

PM 03: Routine repairs.
E.g wall cracks, gate integrity, fixing locks, re-painting the tower, renovating the plinths

Fuel Supply & Delivery: We supply and deliver fuel to BTS sites as per client projections

Fiber Division

We continue to be a leading provider in Fiber deployment and maintenance across the country. Our key services include:

  1. Fiber Rollout
  2. Fiber Maintenance

Fiber Rollout

Our Fiber rollout division has three offerings:

  • FTTS — Fiber rollout to existing active BTS sites
  • FTTB — Fiber rollout to buildings
  • FTTH — Fiber rollout to homes

Step 1: Allocation, Design and Acquisition

Our process involves:

Site allocation from client → site survey and design → design approval and quotation → material procurement and supply

Step 2: Civil Works

  • For underground fiber rollout, these include trenching, duct laying and backfilling
  • For overhead cable installation, these include digging pits, drecting poles and dressing the poles

Step 3: Site acceptance

Client reviews the designs for approval → site is handed over to the maintenance contractor.

Fiber Maintenance

This includes:

Preventative Maintenance of existing infrastructure

Adrian Patrol teams review our scope for any activity that might cause damage to fiber.

Restoration of service

Incase of a fiber cut and the network goes offline our teams are able to initiate immediate temporary measures to restore the network before the fiber can be repaired

Repair of damaged fiber

After bringing the network back only our teams work on permanently fixing the damages fiber. This involves deploying a new piece of fiber to replace the damaged fiber.
