STRATHMORE UNIVERSITY AND ADRIAN COLLABORATE TO ENHANCE CAPACITY BUILDING IN RENEWABLE ENERGY SOLUTIONS

Strathmore University, through its Energy Research Centre, and Adrian Kenya have today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the aim of enhancing capacity building in the areas of Solar Energy Certification, strengthening leadership capabilities, and provision of expert services in renewable energy solutions. Senior management members from both institutions were present, led by Prof. Izael Da Silva, Strathmore University’s Deputy Vice Chancellor for Research and Innovation, and Mr. Benard W. Njoroge, Adrian Group’s Group Managing Director. Adrian Kenya is leading in the development of solar PV solutions in East and Central Africa and has established multiple strategic partners to deliver end-to-end Solar PV solutions, including the scope of Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Financing (EPCF).

Speaking during the event, Mr. Benard W. The world is increasingly adopting alternative energy sources to manage reliability, environmental sustainability and cost. This has resulted in the increased penetration of renewable energy solutions in Africa.”

Adrian is an enabler for women in technology and through this partnership, will provide mentorship opportunities to women pursuing engineering courses at the Strathmore School for Computing and Engineering Sciences.
